If you are a cherry blossom enthusiast, it's time to get ready for the most anticipated festival of the year: the Wuxi Taihu International Cherry Blossom Festival!
Scheduled to run from March 20 to April 20 at Wuxi's iconic Turtle Head Isle Scenic Spot, one of the world's three best destinations for admiring cherry blossoms, the festival will feature more than 30,000 cherry trees of over 60 different varieties in its 66-hectare growing area, the largest of its kind in China.
Although some of the cherry blossom varieties won't come into full bloom for a couple of weeks, some varieties, such as the Japanese Flowering Cherry, have already begun to bloom because of the warm weather. Visitors to Turtle Head Isle can view those early-blooming cherry blossoms starting from this weekend.
