Chinese runners dominate Wuxi Intl Marathon championships

The Wuxi International Marathon was held in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on March 17. It attracted 30,000 runners, twice of that in 2014. Over 3,800 local residents joined the race, compared to just 800 people in 2014.

Chinese runners won all the men’s and women’s half and full marathon races.

Li Zicheng, from China’s Shandong province, won the men’s full marathon with a time of 2h 18’ 23’’, followed by Bett Kipngetich from Kenya with a time of 2h 29’ 06’’ and Chinese runner You Peiquan, with a time of 2h 31’ 09’’. [Photo by Gao Yujing provided to China Daily]
