Mungyeong, South Korea

(wuxinews.com.cn)

Mungyeong, South Korea and Yixing signed to become sister cities on March 30, 2010.

Having an area of 912 square kilometers and a population of 78,000, Mungyeong lies in the central of Korean inland, connecting with Seoul and Busan. Subordinated to Gyeongsangbuk-Do, Mungyeong is an urban-rural compound city developing coordinately between the city and nature, downtown and countryside. Its convenient geographic location and special industrial advantages brought a rapid development to Mungyeong. While keeping and developing traditional industries, the city also attaches much importance to environmental protection, and has transited into an emerging modern city. It was once honored as the best city for enterprises’ development and a favorite successful model for communes in South Korea.
