Over 30 members of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference from Wuxi set off for Nanjing, capital city of Jiangsu, on Feb 1 to attend the fourth session of the 13th CPPCC Jiangsu Provincial Committee on Feb 2.
In preparation for the meeting, these CPPCC members conducted extensive grassroots research, focusing on pivotal issues such as industrial development, rural revitalization, and social welfare. They collected public opinions and drafted high-quality proposals.
Tang Guanyu, representing the business sector, will present two proposals at the provincial meeting. One proposal focuses on leveraging the potential of high-net-worth individuals by suggesting policy enhancements to make Jiangsu more attractive to them. His second proposal centers on improving air travel services in Wuxi, recommending optimizing airport gate allocations to enhance transportation convenience, thereby making it a strategic advantage for attracting investment.
Xu Wen has prepared a proposal to enhance the training system for "new farmers" to bolster rural revitalization. Through her preliminary research, she identified gaps in the existing policy support system and a lack of diverse training methods to meet the needs of this burgeoning group. She recommends implementing more localized policies to support their development and encouraging young people to return to rural areas to pursue innovation and entrepreneurship.
Kang Liwei, from Wuxi Huiai Experimental School, plans to submit a proposal urging provincial departments to establish platforms that provide special-needs students with more opportunities to participate in high-level sporting events. He highlighted the growing needs of special-needs students in physical and mental health, social integration, and potential development. High-level sports events are essential for their growth, but these students have limited opportunities to take part.
