Delegates from Wuxi departed for Nanjing on Feb 2 to participate in the fifth session of the 14th Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress, scheduled for Feb 3.
In preparation for the conference, the delegates conducted comprehensive research in their respective fields and drafted motions and suggestions to ensure productive and effective proceedings.
Delegate Zhang Junjun arrives with four proposals, one of which emphasizes integrating artificial intelligence into agriculture. She highlighted that the aging agricultural workforce is increasingly a barrier to sustainable development. Zhang advocates for the creation of more targeted and timely policy measures to facilitate the widespread adoption of AI in agricultural practices.
Lyu Guozhong, with his extensive background in the medical field, is particularly focused on the interregional transfer of critically ill patients in specialized areas. He highlighted existing challenges in the smooth transfer of these patients. Lyu recommends that, under the guidance of the provincial health commission, the referral process be optimized. This would involve integrating high-quality specialized resources from various regions to establish an efficient and safe interregional transfer system, ensuring timely and effective treatment for critically ill patients.
Delegate Zhou Yan is concentrating on workers in emerging employment forms. She suggests addressing issues such as ambiguous labor relations and inadequate insurance coverage by further developing and strengthening a collaborative, comprehensive protection mechanism across multiple government departments. This approach aims to better safeguard the legal rights and interests of these workers.
