The Wuxi leg of the 2026 FIE Women's Epee World Cup kicked off in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on Feb 6.
Organized by the International Fencing Federation, the FIE World Cup is one of the premier events in adult fencing, ranking alongside the FIE Grand Prix and below the World Championships and the Olympics in prestige.
This competition features both individual and team events across the three fencing disciplines: foil, epee, and sabre, totaling six events for both men and women. Held every year in various cities around the world, it provides a vital platform for athletes to earn Olympic points and assess their competitive preparedness.
Following last year's successful event, Wuxi is once again hosting this stage of the FIE Women's Epee World Cup. The event has attracted 179 athletes from 26 countries and regions, with the support of 20 referees and 58 volunteers. Spanning three days, the competition will see individual and team gold medals awarded on Feb 7 and 8, respectively.
