Wuxi delegation to the fifth session of the 14th Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress, which concluded on Feb 6 in Nanjing, has submitted a total of 43 proposals.
These proposals cover a range of topics, including the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation, the development of a modern industrial system, and improvements in public welfare.
Delegate Xue Huajuan highlighted the pivotal role of robots as essential tools for upgrading traditional manufacturing and as key drivers of the industry's transition toward intelligence and digitalization. She noted that integrating robots into traditional private manufacturing enterprises requires further improvement. To achieve this, she suggested fostering mutual empowerment through strengthened policy guidance and support, enhanced technological innovation and collaboration, expanded application scenarios and markets, and improved financial support and services.
Delegate Xu Yanchun proposed increasing support for public medical institutions, further optimizing medical insurance payment and settlement methods, implementing more precise and scientific medical insurance supervision, and ensuring that the public's basic medical needs are met.
Delegate Wu Xiaobo suggested scientifically regulating minors' social media use by setting clear usage standards for various age groups, reinforcing platforms' primary responsibilities, and developing a legal and professional psychological support system for minors dealing with online harm. He also emphasized the importance of a collaborative regulatory effort involving families, schools, and government authorities.
