My name is L De Silva and I live in Australia. I have visited a couple of cities in China, including Wuxi, with my family.

In Wuxi, we experienced a gentle blend of culture, history, and nature. We enjoyed an authentic local food experience at a food street, sampling flavors that reflect both tradition and modern creativity. We then wandered through water alleys at Qingming Bridge, where time seems to slow amid graceful old buildings and calm canal waters.

We also visited the Zen Town at Nianhuawan Bay, a beautifully curated Zen-inspired town filled with temples, gardens, and tea houses. The immersive performances were a highlight, especially the mesmerizing light and water shows that brought the entire town to life after sunset.

Following a tranquil morning immersed in nature at Changguangxi Wetland Park, our journey continued at the Taihu Pearl Museum. Here, we gained fascinating insight into the world of pearl cultivation, learning how oysters are carefully nurtured and how pearls are delicately harvested — an intricate process that reflects both patience and refined craftsmanship.
