Stellantis Group, the world's fourth-largest automaker, headquartered in the Netherlands, has announced the establishment of its micromobility project in Wuxi, Jiangsu province.

This announcement was made during a signing ceremony on Feb 10, involving Stellantis, Wuxi National High-Tech District, and Miracle Investment Holding.

Under the strategic cooperation agreement, Stellantis plans to invest in a micromobility project with Chinese partners, with the initial phase targeting the Middle East and African markets.

The project intends to use Stellantis's global channels and industry resources alongside Wuxi's robust industrial supply chain, large-scale manufacturing capabilities, and cost control advantages to jointly develop a micromobility industry cluster.

This initiative marks a significant milestone in Wuxi's efforts to attract investment and deepen its focus on new energy and high-end manufacturing. It holds strategic importance for strengthening the open economy and boosting global industrial competitiveness in Wuxi and even across the entire province.

Seizing this opportunity, Wuxi plans to establish China's first "Wuxi-Middle East and Africa Industry Innovation and Service Trade Demonstration Park", fostering industrial innovation aimed at the Middle East and Africa.

The micromobility project is expected to align Wuxi's new energy micromobility industry with emerging markets in the Middle East and Africa. It will also further position Wuxi as a hub for overseas expansion into these markets, significantly enhancing the influence and competitiveness of Jiangsu's manufacturing sector in emerging markets.
