I came to Wuxi as part of my second year at ESSCA Business School in France. During my second semester, I had the choice between studying at a partner university abroad or completing an international internship. I decided to choose an internship because I wanted to develop real professional experience while discovering different working methods and gaining an international perspective.

China quickly appeared as the best destination for me due to its rapid technological development and strong industrial ecosystem. After four months of research, I found an internship opportunity at Digital Eagle in Wuxi. I started my internship on Jan 19 and will stay until July 19. This experience represents an important step in both my professional and personal development.
Through my internship at Digital Eagle, I discovered how dynamic and advanced Wuxi's drone and technology industry is. The company develops several types of professional drones, including security drones, drone jammer systems, surveillance cameras, and agricultural drones.

During my first month, I first lerned about the technical specifications and applications of each product. I then created marketing materials presenting the drones and their key features. My main role now focuses on international sales development: identifying potential countries and companies that could benefit from our drone solutions and contacting prospective clients worldwide.
Life in Wuxi has been a very positive surprise for me. The city offers a good balance between modern urban development and a more relaxed lifestyle compared to larger cities like Shanghai. The environment is comfortable for daily life, with efficient transportation, modern infrastructure, and many cultural areas to explore.

Food also plays an important role in this experience. Discovering local Chinese cuisine has allowed me to explore new flavors and eating habits very different from those in France. The food in Wuxi pleasantly surprised me thanks to the great diversity of Chinese dishes and especially their affordability. For less than €5, it is possible to enjoy complete, balanced, and high-quality meals, which makes everyday life very comfortable for an international student.
Arriving in China just before the Spring Festival allowed me to experience Chinese New Year for the first time, which was truly an exceptional experience. The atmosphere in the cities was unique, with lights, traditional decorations, and fireworks in every direction, creating an impressive festive environment.
To celebrate this important period, I decided to travel to Shanghai, which is near to Wuxi, to experience the celebrations in a major Chinese metropolis. I had the opportunity to visit many temples specially decorated for Chinese New Year, admire illuminated streets, and discover the numerous traditional decorations displayed throughout the city.
I was able to see how important this festival is for families and local traditions. Experiencing Chinese New Year directly in China made my arrival even more memorable and helped me better understand Chinese culture beyond the professional environment.
