The Government Work Report aligns closely with the overarching vision of Chinese-style modernization, providing clearer direction, greater confidence and steadier steps for the future development of Changjiang village, said Li Hongyao.

Li is a deputy to the National People's Congress, Party secretary of Changjiang village in Wuxi, and chairman of Jiangsu Xin Chang Jiang Group.

"I am committed to bringing the spirit of the two sessions back to Changjiang village, ensuring that our rural vitalization efforts are more substantial and far-reaching," he said.

Rural vitalization has been a central focus for Li over the years. "The report highlights the importance of 'promoting the two-way flow of urban and rural elements' and 'deepening the integrated development of agriculture, culture, and tourism'. These points not only align with the realities of rural development but also respond to the people's aspirations for a better life," he said.

Li believes that as rural vitalization advances, the need for high-level rural talent becomes increasingly significant. He sees encouraging higher education institutions to integrate more deeply into rural vitalization practices as an important opportunity to broaden their educational frameworks and promote further development.

While actively promoting rural vitalization and empowering talent, Changjiang village has achieved remarkable results in industrial development.

Under Li's leadership, the steel industry has established a circular economy industrial chain, transitioning from "extensive" to "green and high-end" practices. Moreover, looking beyond the village for development, Changjiang has invested over 10 billion yuan ($1.44 billion) in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province, to establish the Changhong International Shipbuilding Industrial Park. This facility integrates shipbuilding, ship repair, ship dismantling, and metal resource utilization, extending the concept of green circulation from the riverside to the sea.
