The 300 million yuan ($43.58 million) Dancing with Birds project, a collaborative effort between Yaohu Town in Yixing, Wuxi, and the French cultural tourism giant Puy du Fou, is set to launch in late March after six years of development.
Puy du Fou, renowned as "the world's best storytelling theme park", is a globally acclaimed historical and cultural performance venue, repeatedly recognized as the "World's Best Theme Park".
At the heart of the project is the concept of harmony with nature. The main attraction features the natural flight of 258 birds of prey from France, with a focus on public interaction and engagement.
The project blends diverse sound elements, including handpans, human voices and bird calls, to create a rich, multi-layered auditory experience. It invites the public to experience the freedom and romance of birds soaring through the sky via immersive interactions.
Spanning over 30,000 square meters, the project provides seating for 2,300 visitors. It utilizes local materials such as clay and bamboo, transforming clay into sculpted concrete structures while preserving the unique texture of pottery. This creates a land sculpture that appears to rise organically from the bamboo forest valley. The aviaries are wrapped in free-form bamboo weaving, blending into the bamboo sea, achieving perfect harmony between architecture and the natural environment.
