New York Fashion Week is coming to Wuxi's Nianhua Bay for the first time for the Asia-Pacific Wuxi Show from Friday to Saturday.
The event will see international luxury brands like Fendi headline the Friday's opening, alongside prominent domestic and international fashion brands. Designer brands will showcase on Saturday, and a combination designer and influencer show will close out on Sunday.
Breaking away from traditional single-format fashion shows, the event integrates dynamic haute couture runways, static brand exhibitions, and high-level industry dialogues.
The main stage at Nianhua Bay's Smile Square has undergone a 360-degree transformation, incorporating elements of "heaven, earth, and people". Highlights include drone formations and fireworks creating brand logos and other visual spectacles, while underground, dynamic art sculptures, underwater stage mechanisms, holographic digital screens, and high-lumen laser projections create a dreamlike show space.
The event boasts a stellar lineup of nearly 20 top domestic and international brands and designers. The model roster is equally impressive, featuring 31 renowned models from around the world, including 21 from countries such as the US, Colombia, and Peru.
Special events include a showcase of emerging designs from Jiangnan University students, a heritage paper art show by Wuxi paper-cutting artist Chen Jingyi, and cultural performances featuring traditional opera, folk music, and dance.
