Kailong High Technology, based in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, introduced its intelligent testing equipment for robotic hands, designed to assess dexterity and motion angles, on March 30.

This equipment is the first of its kind in China, and the company secured purchase agreements during the launch ceremony.

The testing equipment operates within a two-meter-tall enclosed glass box, where 10 cameras are strategically arranged to track the movements of the robotic hand. As the hand shifts through various configurations, data is captured in real-time and transmitted to a computer for analysis.

The device under evaluation is a dexterous robotic hand, an advanced end effector with a high degree of freedom, designed to replicate the functions of a human hand. This technology has become a key focus within the rapidly evolving embodied intelligence sector.

In recent years, Kailong has stepped up efforts to develop intelligent testing equipment for robots, in collaboration with a local research institute. The push coincides with the company's progress toward mass production of its humanoid robot, HLJ Robozen.

Less than six months after launching the first intelligent testing equipment for dexterous hand gripping force, Kailong swiftly introduced dexterity and motion-angle intelligent testing equipment. "This equipment is primarily used for high-precision, automated testing of the motion range and speed adjustment range of each joint of the dexterous hand," said Song Yandong, the company's chief technical engineer.

As the developer of HLJ Robozen, the first humanoid robot produced in Wuxi, Kailong is rapidly advancing in the field of embodied intelligence robotics. Within just a year, the company has pioneered a series of testing equipment in China, achieving multiple breakthroughs while developing over 10 industrial application scenarios for embodied intelligence robots. Currently, more than 10 testing devices for various robot components are being developed simultaneously.
