Yadea Technology Group Co is making another substantial investment by setting up its global center, alongside a research, development, and intelligent manufacturing complex, in Xishan district, Wuxi, with a registered capital of $300 million.

The announcement was made during a signing ceremony on April 7.

Spanning approximately 345 mu (23 hectares), the global center project represents a strategic initiative for Yadea, intensifying its focus on high-end, intelligent, and global strategies and further embedding its presence in Wuxi.

The project will target core business areas, including high-end electric motorcycles, electronic appliances, and sodium-ion/lithium-ion battery packs. It plans to establish advanced production workshops to foster the integrated and coordinated development of key components and complete vehicle manufacturing.

The aim is to achieve an annual production capacity of 500,000 high-end electric motorcycles and nearly 30 million sets of battery management systems, controllers, and sodium batteries. Upon reaching full production capacity, Yadea's annual revenue is expected to surpass 50 billion yuan ($7.33 billion), creating over 1,500 new jobs.

Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Xishan, Yadea Technology Group Co operates 10 production and research bases worldwide. These bases are located in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Guangdong provinces, as well as Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand. In 2025, Yadea achieved sales of 37 billion yuan, with the Wuxi base contributing an industrial output value of 5.49 billion yuan.

As a central hub for the national electric vehicle industry, Xishan's EV sector holds a significant position in the national market. Statistics indicate that in 2025, the 166 large-scale enterprises in Xishan's EV industry achieved a revenue of 80.16 billion yuan, marking a year-on-year increase of 21.1 percent.

Wuxi aims to develop an EV industry cluster valued at 100 billion yuan, with a focus on high-end, intelligent and globally competitive developments. The city is committed to establishing itself as a national leader, an innovation hub and a high-end manufacturing zone in the EV industry, positioning Wuxi's EVs as a benchmark brand in the two-wheel travel market, both nationally and globally.
