The launch ceremony for the new projects of the Wuxi International Communication Alliance took place at Jiangnan University in Wuxi, Jiangsu, on April 25.
During the event, 20 new projects were unveiled, and the Wuxi Story project was officially launched.
Plaques were presented to new alliance members, such as Wuxi People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, CCTV International Network Wuxi, and Huayu (Wuxi) International Cultural Communication, bringing the total membership to 52.
A highlight of the ceremony was the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Pioneers Public Welfare Culture Volunteer Service Center and the School of Foreign Studies at Jiangnan University. This agreement aims to establish a Chinese-English bilingual training program to promote cultural and linguistic exchanges between China and other nations.
In addition, a "Reading City" event for expatriates was organized to help develop a unique IP and recruit foreign bloggers passionate about Wuxi to serve as "overseas promotion ambassadors", thereby enhancing the city's international image.
"City explorer ambassadors" from Bangladesh and Uzbekistan shared their personal stories of living and communicating in Wuxi. Following this, an upgraded "InWuxi" website, developed by foreigners, was officially launched to provide more convenient information services for expatriates in Wuxi.
A cultural and creative exhibition area was also set up at the event, showcasing Wuxi's time-honored brands and cultural institutions to enhance interactive experiences.
