Wuxi Shuofang Airport in Jiangsu province is poised to welcome its first Skytrax five-star airline, Korean Air Lines, a move set to significantly elevate the airport's international service standards and brand prestige.
Recently, Korean Air secured approval from South Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to operate three weekly passenger flights on the Incheon-Wuxi route.
In April 2026, Korean Air received the highest distinction from Skytrax, the preeminent authority in aviation service ratings, thereby achieving five-star airline status for the sixth consecutive year.
Using Incheon International Airport as its hub, Korean Air leverages its extensive global route network to provide seamless international transfer services for travelers departing from Wuxi. This ensures an exceptional travel experience for a wide range of passengers.
As the highest-quality airline to be introduced to Wuxi Shuofang Airport since its opening, Korean Air represents a significant milestone in the Wuxi airport's journey toward internationalization. The effort is designed to enhance international route offerings at Wuxi Shuofang Airport and provide a significant opportunity to align with global service standards, improving overall service quality.
