Yixing, a county-level city of Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province, is set to host the 2026 China (Yixing) Tea Industry Expo from June 13 to 15, aiming to enhance the high-quality development of the tea industry and promote the integration of tea culture and tourism, thereby boosting the city's influence and reputation.
"By hosting this expo, we aim to activate the entire tea industrial chain and energize the city," said Yang Xiao, general manager of Yixing Tea Industry Group.
Yixing has long been a leader in tea production in Jiangsu, with its Yangxian Tea and Yixing Black Tea brands recognized as national geographical indication products. The Yangxian Tea Culture System is listed as an important agricultural heritage of Jiangsu.

The expo will span 7,500 square meters, feature seven exhibition areas and attract over 200 brands nationwide. Among the exhibition areas, the Yixing tea industry-themed area is expected to display local tea towns and leading enterprises, while the Jiangsu tea industry collaborative area is designed to show major tea-producing regions like Wuxi, Suzhou, and Nanjing.
Cultural activities such as a tea competition and tea-tasting will be held, highlighting Yixing's rich tea heritage and innovative spirit.
Yixing has extended invitations to buyers from eight provinces and municipalities across the country, covering tea associations, chambers of commerce, and specialized tea procurement markets, reaching out to 600 buyers.
The event aims to foster regional cooperation and promote the integration of tea culture and tourism across the Yangtze River Delta.
