The final episode of the second season of A Touch of Wuxi, the micro-documentary series about Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province, has been released.
This episode, titled Bamboo Carving Immortalized in History, featured the city's specialty product — Liuqing bamboo carving.
Can the spirit of a thousand years be etched onto a bamboo surface less than a millimeter thick? Artisans use knives as their brushes, carving and painting on bamboo. As time passes, the bamboo takes on an amber hue, revealing not only the scholarly spirit but also Wuxi's elegant and resilient cultural fabric.
