Members of a Croatian mayoral governance training program visited Yixing, a county-level city in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on June 9 to exchange insights and experiences.
The local government presented special recommendations on Yixing's urban development, distinctive industries, and business environment.
Mihajlo Zmajlovic, a representative of the Croatian training program and a national parliament member, in turn shared experiences in urban governance and ecological development from Central Europe.
Meanwhile, Shanghai Business School and Yixing Urban Development Investment signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement to establish a practical teaching base in Yixing during the event.
This partnership aims to empower enterprises in their international development, jointly develop talent and think tanks, and conduct international business official training programs. It will also serve as a platform for learning and exchange among officials from various countries.
Since 2025, Yixing, in collaboration with Shanghai Business School, has hosted several international business official training activities, welcoming over 120 government officials and entrepreneurs from multiple countries.
The training covers areas such as youth talent cultivation, public finance, digital economy, and innovation and entrepreneurship, establishing Yixing as a foundational base for international business official training practices in the Yangtze River Delta region.
Yixing emphasizes four main themes: cultural heritage, industrial development, rural revitalization, and urban governance, showcasing its achievements in Chinese-style modernization across multiple dimensions.
Looking ahead, Yixing plans to continue using the national-level international business official training platform to promote its story, spread China's development philosophy, and deepen international cooperation in fields such as economy, trade, culture, and urban governance.
