Could you briefly introduce Magnus Aircraft and its global vision? What motivated the company to establish a presence in Wuxi?

Magnus Aircraft is a Hungarian-owned aircraft manufacturer that develops, produces, and markets innovative composite aircraft for international markets. From the outset, we have operated with a global perspective. For us, aviation is not only an industry — it is both an opportunity and a responsibility.

Recently, we articulated a renewed vision captured in the message "Discover your horizon".

In earlier years, our communication focused primarily on technology and performance. Today, we increasingly emphasize the human dimension — what it means to make independent decisions, adopt new perspectives, and approach the future with ambition and confidence.

We have expanded into regions where trust, long-term thinking, and partnership are fundamental values. Africa, the Middle East, and particularly China represent such markets. Our presence in Wuxi is part of this deliberate international strategy. The decision is supported by clear professional, industrial and partnership considerations that shape our long-term engagement in Asia.

You are currently developing an aircraft manufacturing facility in Wuxi. What made Wuxi attractive for this project? How do you see the local business environment and industrial ecosystem?

It is particularly inspiring that China — and within it, Wuxi — treats the development of the low-altitude economy as a strategic priority. General aviation, regional air services, and new mobility solutions are expected to become defining sectors over the next decade. We see not only a commercial opportunity here, but also a strong strategic alignment.

The local government's cooperative approach played a decisive role in our choice. The openness, responsiveness, and collaborative attitude of both district and municipal leadership clearly demonstrated that Wuxi regards Magnus Aircraft as a long-term industrial partner.

We operate within a joint venture structure with our Chinese partners — a framework built on trust and complementary expertise. They bring deep knowledge of the regulatory and market environment, while we contribute European aerospace engineering and manufacturing experience. This synergy creates a solid and sustainable foundation.

The advanced industrial ecosystem, strong technological base, and dynamic economic environment provide excellent conditions for sustainable growth.

At the recent China–Hungary (Wuxi) Industrial Park ceremony, what were your key takeaways? What does this cooperation mean for Magnus Aircraft and for Hungary–China economic ties?

The inauguration of the China–Hungary (Wuxi) Industrial Park was both symbolic and strategically significant for us.

This initiative represents more than an industrial development — it functions as an economic bridge between Hungary and China. It establishes a structured platform for long-term and predictable cooperation between the two countries. We are proud to be among the first Hungarian high-tech companies operating within this framework and believe our involvement can serve as a reference point for others. If our experience, network, and local presence can support additional Hungarian companies entering Wuxi or the broader Chinese market, we consider that both an opportunity and a responsibility. We remain open to collaboration and knowledge sharing. This platform reflects a new stage in Hungarian–Chinese economic cooperation.

Looking ahead, what are your expectations for Magnus Aircraft's development in Wuxi? Are there any specific areas — such as talent cultivation, technological innovation, or supply chain collaboration — that you are particularly excited about?

Our primary objective is to establish a stable and long-term presence in China. We do not view Wuxi simply as a production site, but as the Eastern hub of Magnus Aircraft. Our ambition is for Wuxi to become a key driver of our Asian expansion — serving domestic demand while opening toward regional markets.

We see significant potential in China's technological progress, particularly in artificial intelligence. The next phase of aerospace evolution will increasingly rely on data-driven operations, intelligent manufacturing, and optimized systems. These areas offer considerable opportunity, especially when developed in close cooperation with our partners.

We are confident that the region's innovation capacity and dynamic growth environment will support sustainable long-term development.

On a more personal note, what is your impression of Wuxi so far? Have you had the chance to experience anything — food, culture, people, or scenery — that left a lasting impression on you?

Over the past year, I have spent more than 50 days in Wuxi, which has given me a deeper understanding of the city. It is green, well-organized, and highly livable. I particularly value how modern urban development integrates with strong cultural traditions — this balance between heritage and innovation is inspiring.

I have found local partners and colleagues to be professional, open, and cooperative. Business interactions are characterized by mutual respect and a long-term mindset.

The local cuisine has also been a memorable experience, with each visit offering discoveries.

For us, Wuxi is not only an operational base but a place where we are confident in building enduring partnerships and achieving long-term growth.
