Nearly 1,000 residents gathered at the Wuxi Symphony Hall on July 4, raising their voices in unison and reveling in the venue's superb acoustics.
The event marked the launch of this year's inaugural session of the Community Sing and Share Chorus Celebration at the hall. As a UNESCO City of Music, Wuxi continues to showcase the artistic sensibilities of its people through these grassroots initiatives.
Participants spanned from teenagers to septuagenarians, representing a broad cross‑section of professions and generations.

As the prelude to Beautiful Taihu Lake began, the performers' voices filled the vineyard‑style hall, resonating clearly without the need for amplification. The familiar melody, enhanced by the world‑class acoustics, rang out with exceptional clarity and sweetness, evoking deep emotional resonance among the audience.
Another piece, Dear You, brought a sense of warmth and comfort, conveying a love for life and hope for the future. Together, these songs transformed the venue into a sea of joy and emotion.
Looking ahead, the Wuxi Symphony Hall plans to host more public cultural events, including singing festivals and music lectures. These popular programs will be held regularly each month, accompanied by affordable ticket initiatives.
