For people in Wuxi, a handful of indoor ice and snow venues offer a refreshing alternative. Here are five local rinks that promise everything from casual skating to serious snow sports, all year round.

1. Wuxi Bonski (Wuxi Sunac Snow Park)

The region's first indoor ski resort

Spanning 17,500 square meters and kept at a steady –6 degrees Celsius, this facility caters to skiers of all levels with multiple slopes. Beyond skiing, a 5,600-sq-m play area features ice slides and a Rainbow Castle for family‑friendly fun. Professional coaches are on hand for lessons.

Location: 2nd Floor, Sunac Mall, southwest corner of Yuanxi Road and Juju Road, Binhu district 

Hours: 10 am–9 pm (last entry 6 pm) 

Tickets: From 378 yuan ($55.80) for an all‑day unlimited ski pass

2. Runhe Ice Rink

Competition‑grade facilities

Built with German ice‑making technology and outfitted to European and American club standards, this rink can accommodate up to 300 skaters at once. It supports hockey, figure skating, and both professional training and recreational sessions.

Location: 4th Floor, Xishan Yaohan, 1 Xihu Road, Xishan district 

Hours: 2:30 pm–8:30 pm from Monday to Friday; 10:30 am–8:30 pm from Saturday to Sunday

Tickets: 79 yuan for a single all‑day pass (valid on holidays)

3. Wanda Ice World

Comfortable leisure skating 

With a total area of roughly 2,000 sq m and an 880‑sq‑m ice surface, this rink maintains a comfortable on‑ice temperature of around 20°C. It offers public sessions, figure skating instruction, performance events, and team‑building activities.

Location: 3rd Floor, Wuxi MixC, 88 Jinshi Road, Binhu district 

Hours: 10 am–9 pm 

Tickets: 89 yuan for a single skater (skates and protective gear included); 169 yuan for a double package

4. Fearless Ski Club

Tailored coaching for all levels 

This two‑floor club caters to beginners and advanced skiers alike, with private one‑on‑one lessons and parent‑child sessions available. The focus is on fun and light‑extreme sports, making it a great choice for those looking to progress in a supportive environment.

Location: 6th Floor, Xishang MONO, 100 Renminzhong Road, Liangxi district 

Hours: 10:30 am–10 pm

Tickets: 108 yuan for an adult introductory session

5. SOLOX·Xueyue Four Seasons Skiing

Year‑round skiing with both snowboarding and skiing options 

Open every day of the year, this venue offers instruction for both single‑board (snowboard) and double‑board (alpine) skiing. Coaches are noted for their patience and attention to detail, making it ideal for first‑timers.

Location: 2nd Floor, Yixing Yaohan, 288 Jiefangdong Road, Yixing

Hours: 10 am–9:30 pm from Monday to Thursday; 10 am–10 pm from Friday to Sunday

Tickets: 98 yuan for a one‑hour simulator experience session
