The swimming venue at the Wuxi Olympic Sports Center in Xinwu district, Wuxi, kicked off a trial operation on July 15, with badminton and table tennis courts also opening their doors to the public as part of the initial phase.
Located within Phase I of the complex, the swimming hall and adjoining fitness center span about 64,000 square meters of gross floor area. The facility features a 2,000-seat competition pool designed to host provincial- and national-level swimming events, alongside a training pool, a children's pool, and a recreational water play area.
The badminton and table tennis spaces are configured to serve adult fitness, youth sports training, and family leisure activities, positioning the venue to accommodate both official competitions and daily community use.
Construction of the sports center began in early 2023. Once fully operational, the integrated complex is designed to support sports competitions, retail, cultural performances, tourism, and general recreation.
