Jiangnan University in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, concluded its 2026 YES Global Elite Summer Camp on July 21.
The eight-day program brought together 65 students from 18 countries for a combination of industry visits, cultural exploration, and collaborative project work in the city.

The camp dispatched the attendees to local manufacturers Unicomp Technology and Seagate Technology, where they observed smart manufacturing and data‑storage systems. Cultural outings included water town tours and evening cruises along the Grand Canal, offering hands‑on exposure to regional heritage.
At the closing ceremony, teams received awards for their research presentations and all attendees earned completion certificates. Organizers also presented calligraphy and a poem as tokens of cross‑cultural friendship.

Student speakers from both China and abroad highlighted the value of direct exchange. One Peking University representative called the camp a natural bridge for international ties, while Dutch participants noted the speed of China's AI development and the city's welcoming atmosphere. A foreign mentor said the program's core achievement was teaching young people from diverse backgrounds to listen and understand one another.
The camp positions itself as a distinctive youth‑exchange model in China, aiming to foster future leaders with professional skills and a global outlook through action‑based learning.
