The 2026 Jiangsu Recreational Vehicle and Camping Season launched on Aug 1 at the Taoxin Island camping base in Yangshan town, Huishan district, Wuxi.
A major highlight of the launch was the release of a series of self-drive routes around Taihu Lake. The centerpiece is a seven-day itinerary covering about 500 kilometers, starting from Yangshan town in Wuxi. Well-equipped with viewing stops and RV campsites along the way, the route offers travelers an immersive experience of Taihu Lake's landscapes across Wuxi, Suzhou, Changzhou, and Huzhou in Zhejiang province.
For shorter getaways, the four cities also released one-to-three-day self-drive routes tailored for weekend and short-break travelers.

To welcome the first wave of travelers in the 2026 season, four RV campsites in Wuxi— Taoxin Island, Gonghuwan Bay, Taihu Fengyinju, and Muye Xingshe — rolled out a package of discounts on campsite spots, attraction tickets, and dining as a collaborative effort.
The evening festivities continued with a market and a cultural performance tour, offering attendees a vibrant taste of the RV lifestyle under the night sky on Taoxin Island.
