A new robot industrial park opened on Aug 6 in the Liangxi Scie-Tech City, Wuxi, marking the latest milestone in the region's push to establish itself as a hub for intelligent manufacturing.
The 154,000-square-meter facility comprises four buildings dedicated to research, development and production, alongside a dedicated scenario innovation center designed to support the full lifecycle of robotics enterprises.
The park is strategically focused on four core segments: embodied robotics, industrial robotics, commercial robotics and critical components, with additional emphasis on the emerging "brain and cerebellum" technologies that power embodied intelligent systems.
The innovation center serves as the park's central infrastructure, offering companies access to prototype displays, equipment leasing, one-stop component procurement, and real-world multimodal data collection for customized scenario development, enabling robots not only to move with precision but also to "think" with clarity in practical applications.
The park has already achieved an 80 percent occupancy rate, attracting more than 20 high-growth technology companies, including MagicLab. Once fully operational, the park is projected to generate annual output exceeding 5 billion yuan ($741.11 million).
MagicLab broke ground on its factory this month. The facility will feature four joint module production lines and two complete-machine assembly lines, with an annual capacity of 10,000 units once fully commissioned, creating an integrated ecosystem spanning R&D, manufacturing, and application deployment.
From intelligent chip-driven actuators to embodied intelligence powered by massive datasets, the Liangxi Sci-Tech City Robot Industrial Park is positioning itself as a leading robotics cluster in the Yangtze River Delta region, advancing the industry's transition from machines that move to systems that can truly "think".
