A delegation of robot enterprises from Wuxi stood out among the more than 300 exhibitors at the 2026 World Robot Conference, held in Beijing from Aug 19 to 23.
The annual event featured more than 3,000 exhibits and drew industry players from around the globe. The Wuxi group attracted considerable attention with demonstrations ranging from humanoid robots and embodied intelligence systems to core components and end-effector technologies.
On the opening day, the city hosted the Wuxi (Beijing) Embodied Intelligence Robotics Collaboration and Development Symposium, bringing together nearly 20 leading industry players alongside researchers from top institutions. Organizers said 21 companies have already set up operations in Wuxi, covering humanoid robot manufacturing, large models for embodied intelligence and component production, while more than 20 others have entered into investment or partnership agreements with the city.
Several Wuxi-based firms used the conference to unveil new products. MagicLab, for instance, drew crowds with nine application scenarios demonstrating physical AI in action, including logistics, clothing sorting, packing and traditional rubbing techniques.
The strong presence of Wuxi companies underscored the city's growing influence in the robotics sector, particularly in the fast‑moving fields of embodied intelligence and humanoid robotics.
