Four Wuxi-based tech firms are showcasing robotics and AI-powered services at the China International Fair for Trade in Services, which opened on Sept 9 in Beijing.
MagicLab Robotics Technology (Wuxi) displayed a panda-shaped quadruped robot that appeared on China's Spring Festival Gala and set a record for the largest synchronized performance of quadruped robots, along with a breakdancing robot.
Aiyu Wencheng brought "Big Head Ah Liang", described as the country's first elderly-care robot. It offers conversation, patrol monitoring and emergency alerts, is used in 110 Chinese cities and began exporting to Australia this year. The company also showed an upgraded fifth-generation model and an exoskeleton robot, and is seeking overseas agents and aged-care partners.
First-time exhibitor Wuxi Luwu Dynamics presented desktop quadruped robots, self-balancing two-wheeled robots, and a new four-wheeled desktop model, as well as an open-source developer ecosystem for embodied AI. Founder Liu Pengfei said the company wants to expand beyond Europe and the United States into Southeast Asia and the Middle East and work with large language models and cloud providers.
Wuxi, a major foreign trade city in China, is moving quickly to build itself into a hub for digital trade and services trade. In 2025, the city's total trade in services grew 14.2 percent, keeping it among the top performers in Jiangsu province. As more innovations that combine technology and services enter international markets, Wuxi is embracing openness and deepening its integration into the global services trade landscape.
The five-day international event has drawn participation from 90 countries and international organizations, with more than 1,830 enterprises exhibiting on-site, including 473 Fortune Global 500 and industry-leading companies.
