Chinese autonomous driving startup QCraft opened its Wuxi Digital Intelligence Center at Liangxi Sci-Tech City on Sept 16, a strategic move to strengthen the city's data ecosystem for autonomous driving and embodied artificial intelligence.
The center is set to act as the company's core data hub, offering a full-lifecycle, data-driven solution from collection and annotation to mining and commercialization. Using a closed-loop data approach, large models, and automated toolchains, it will serve autonomous driving and embodied AI firms while helping to turn data into assets.
At the opening, QCraft displayed an L4 unmanned logistics vehicle for last-mile delivery and transfers within industrial parks. It plans to launch L4 projects in Wuxi. "Wuxi's strong industrial base and sound business environment make it ideal for smart driving and data industries," said Yu Qian, co-founder, chairman and CEO, calling the center a key step in the company's Yangtze River Delta region layout.
QCraft is expanding from driverless vehicles toward general physical AI. Its technology combines world models and reinforcement learning, focusing on L2+ and L4. Its L2+ systems have been installed in over 1 million passenger vehicles across 40-plus models, while its L4 technology has been deployed in Robovan, Robotaxi and Robobus scenarios.
Wuxi is China's first national-level internet of vehicles pilot zone. Liangxi Sci-Tech City is developing AI, embodied intelligence, low-altitude economy and spatial information. The center is expected to link local resources with the company's data technology and serve local vehicle and robotics firms.
