Daniel and Alexander Weller, a father and son from the United Kingdom, were at the Jiangyin Sports Center Stadium in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on Oct 24, watching Wuxi hold Taizhou to a 1-1 draw in the second leg of the semifinal of the Jiangsu Football City League, known as Suchao.
With a 1-0 away win in the first leg, Wuxi secured a 2–1 aggregate win and advanced to its maiden league final. For the Wellers, the charged atmosphere of this hard-fought clash gave them a vivid taste of the passion for grassroots football in Jiangsu.
