Companies in Binhu district, Wuxi, are integrating artificial intelligence (AI) with the Internet of Things (IoT), linking data collection, intelligent analysis and real-world applications.

Jiangsu WeShine Network Technology will showcase its AI-powered recording devices at the 2026 World Internet of Things Exposition in Wuxi from Oct 30 to Nov 2. Available as recording cards and wearable badges, the devices turn face-to-face customer conversations into structured data, generate meeting summaries and update customer records on WeCom, Tencent's enterprise communication platform.

The company, which serves more than 200 of China's Fortune 500 companies, has also upgraded its customer relationship management platform. The latest version allows businesses to build AI agents without coding, automate tasks and connect online and offline customer data.

AI is also improving industrial energy efficiency. Jiangsu Lanchuang Intelligent Technology has developed "Carbon Source Sentinel", an AI agent that uses real-time sensor data and an industrial AI model to optimize equipment such as air compressors, cooling water systems and central air conditioning. The solution has a reference energy-saving rate of 10 to 20 percent.

Binhu is also helping local manufacturers explore overseas opportunities. During the expo, Wuxi's Taihu Bay Outbound Investment Service Center will host an industry exchange on overseas data center investment, bringing international project developers together with local manufacturers and engineering service providers.

Looking ahead, Binhu plans to expand AI applications in advanced manufacturing, healthcare, film production and urban governance. The district aims to reach 5,000 petaflops of AI computing capacity and grow its AI industry to more than 21.5 billion yuan ($3.27 billion) within five years.

By connecting hardware, software and practical applications, Binhu is turning AI and IoT innovation into industrial growth.
