The 2018 Beverly Wuxi Marathon is set to kick off on Mar 25; registration opens from 10:00 am on Dec 23 and closes at 10:00 pm on Jan 8, 2018.
To ensure an enjoyable experience and the safety of all runners, race organizers have restricted the number of entrants to 30,000 this year, with 20,000 places allocated for the full marathon, 7,000 for the half marathon, and 3,000 for the mini-marathon.
A press conference was held at the Radegast Xijiao Hotel in Wuxi on Dec 22 to inform the public of the rescheduling.

"We postponed the date of the Wuxi marathon for a week, as we wanted to present the stunning landscapes of Wuxi during Spring to runners from all over the world. 2018 will be a big year for the marathon as it will be the marathon's 5th birthday,"said Li Changzheng, CEO of Huipao Events, an organizer of the marathon.
The circular route passes through many local cultural, financial and natural landmarks, including the national 5A scenic spot Yuantouzhu, the Light of Lihu Lake, Jiangnan University, the Wuxi Taihu International Expo Center, the Wuxi Financial Street, Wuxi Civic Center, Xuntang Ancient Town, the Wuxi Grand Theatre and the Shangxian River Wetland Park.
The organizing committee also unveiled a commemorative badge for the 5th anniversary of the Wuxi Marathon, as well as the official vest, pink gloves and finishing medal of 2018 Wuxi Marathon at the press conference.
