Amazed by China's growing influence in the Internet field, a group of expats has embarked on a "Discover WND" tour exploring internet of things technologies in the Wuxi National High-tech District on Nov 3.

They learned how 5G and AIo Technologies helped doctors make diagnoses efficiently online, and the great potential in mobile urgent care and telemedicine at Astra-Zeneca China Health IoT Innovation Center. Expats believed the company's "Medical Community Big Data" platform is crucially important in rural areas, where medical resources are not balanced and areas lack experienced doctors.

At Hanhe Aviation Technology Co, Wang Jiajun, production manager at the company's factory in Shuofang Airport Industrial Park, discussed the development of its agricultural unmanned aerial vehicles. Wang showed how key components of its UAVs are smaller and lighter to keep pace with the fast development of internet technology. Acquainted with the whole procedure in assembling the UAVs, expats also got the chance to try flight tests themselves.

"It's so easy. How much is it, and who would come to help if it came across accidents in the air?" one of the expats asked while controlling an UAV that can carry 20 kilometers of goods on a pad.

"It costs about 40,000 yuan for this UAV with four propellers on it. Fully loaded, the UAV can fly 12 minutes and spray an area of 2.67 hectares. We have opened service stations for our customers in many cities, such as Jingzhou in Wuhan province and Dezhou in Shandong province," Wang answered. The UAVs can be operated easily from an app automatically, or a controller manually.  He added their UAVs have been exported to countries such as Argentina, Austria and South Korea.
