Wuxi's latest city service mobile app, Ling Xi, was officially launched on May 7.
Developed by LongShine Technology Group Co, the app is geared toward Wuxi locals, integrating various services based on big data to help deal with affairs related to government, people's livelihood, enterprises and more.
The app takes advantages of new-generation information technologies such as AI, big data and blockchain, aiming to promote the development of Wuxi's digital economy and push forward smart city construction.
Different from city service mobile apps that came before, Ling Xi is intended to change people's lifestyles as a 24-hour service window. It carries a digital ID card based on the public security electronic identification code certificate, which can become a personal database and even allow people to live in Wuxi without any physical certificates.
The 1.0 version provides over 170 high-frequency services, including transportation, health, social security, education and employment, cultural tourism, emergency safety, and living a better life. By the end of this year, the app will provide over 500 services.

The app was downloaded over 13,000 times as of 8:00 pm on the first day, according to Wuxi Big Data Management Bureau. It is expected to have 2 million users by the end of this year.
