Zhao Wei, a deputy to the 13th National People's Congress (NPC) and manager of Weifu High Technology Group's engineering department, proposed green and high-quality development of China's manufacturing industry during the nation's top legislative meeting.
Zhao has been working in a manufacturing enterprise for years and was involved with effective protection of ecosystems and the environment. She suggested the government carry out overall planning for industrial sewage treatment.
Zhao suggested that the government could release a list of qualified construction enterprises to construct and renovate reliable sewage pipeline networks for enterprises, support the construction of wastewater pretreatment facilities, and operate and maintain pipeline networks.
Zhao also spoke highly of the industrial internet as an important way to upgrade traditional manufacturing industries by using intelligent technologies.
According to Zhao, standardized product design, production and usage standards are the first step in building a complete industrial internet platform. As soon as data between enterprises on the platform can be interconnected and interoperable, big data can show its true value, Zhao added.
Zhao noted that the country should make efforts to dispel enterprises' misgivings on data security, covering the whole manufacturing production process including data collection, transmission, storage and analysis.
