Skillful Craftsman Education Technology Ltd, a Wuxi-based education technology company providing interactive online learning services, started trading on the Nasdaq on July 27.
The company, trading under the ticker symbol of "EDTK," announced an initial public offering of 3 million shares at $5.0 apiece for a total value of approximately $15 million.
Founded in Wuxi’s Huishan district in 2013, the company is an education technology company that provides interactive online vocational training and virtual simulation training courses. It is the second company in Wuxi to debut on the Nasdaq.
It has become a strong supporter of China’s economic development and educational reforms for labor employment. The company currently has 59.5 million registered members and 3.1 million paying members.
It intends to use the proceeds of its offering primarily to develop online course content, mobile applications, and interactive consultation platforms, as well as to expand its existing education platforms.
