GE Healthcare is confident in Wuxi, said Zhang Yihao, CEO and president of GE Health China, at a meeting with the city's mayor Zhao Jianjun on June 28.
GE Healthcare, a subsidiary of American multinational General Electric, is a manufacturer and distributor of diagnostic imaging agents and radiopharmaceuticals for imaging modalities used in medical imaging procedures.
Wuxi's efficient control of COVID-19 outbreaks and high-quality administrative services have created a favorable business environment for the company's development in the city, noted Zhang.
He added that GE Healthcare will continue increasing its research and development investment and establish a regional headquarters in Wuxi to attract more relevant companies.

Zhao thanked GE Healthcare for its support for Wuxi's development, saying that the biomedical industry is a key industry in Wuxi and boasts strong cooperation potential with biomedical giants.
He said he expects GE Healthcare to produce more high-end medical products in Wuxi and establish headquarters centering around products and trade, as well as regional headquarters.
The mayor also promised that Wuxi will support foreign-invested enterprises, including GE Healthcare, to optimize their industrial layout, set up regional headquarters, and promote products in Wuxi.
