Expats from Germany, the United States, Spain, India, and Pakistan participated in the dragon boat race held on Lihu Lake in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, on Oct 23.
Their participation in the event was arranged by the foreign affairs office of the Wuxi municipal people's government.

The dragon boat race is a traditional sport in China, and participating in the race allowed the expats to experience traditional Chinese culture and the international atmosphere and daily life in Wuxi.

The dragon boat race was sponsored by the united front work department of the CPC Wuxi Municipal Committee, Wuxi municipal bureau of sports, Wuxi Federation of Trade Unions, and Wuxi Culture and Tourism Development Group.
It was participated in by 32 teams, with the Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce team winning the championship.
