An industrial investment and exchange meeting between Xishan district in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, and Italy was held on April 20.
Part of the 2023 Wuxi International Month, the meeting was attended by more than 50 Italian and Wuxi enterprises involving manufacturing, international trade, science and technology, and consultancy.
Alessandra Palumbo, commercial consul of the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai, said in her speech that due to Wuxi authorities' supprt and the city's superior innovation and entrepreneurial environment, Italian companies have progressed substantially over the past several years.
Palumbo added that she hopes the two places will further strengthen cultural and economic cooperation through people-to-people exchanges.

Ermanno Vitali, member of the board of directors of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, also expressed his hope of enhancing the friendship between China and Italy by cooperation after introducing the CICC.
An official from the Xishan Economic Development Zone showed his willingness to tap the cooperation potential with CICC and Italian businesses in high-end textile, intelligent manufacturing, as well as auto and auto parts.
Participants in the activity also visited the exhibition hall of the Wanshan Lake Eco-tech City to learn about the investment environment in Xishan district.
