I'm Mohamed Hafez from Egypt, currently working towards a postgraduate degree in Business Administration at Jiangnan University in Wuxi.
In September 2024, I came to the city to further my studies. Despite the slightly humid weather, it didn't take long for me to be entirely captivated by Wuxi. The stunning environment, deep cultural roots, and the incredibly warm-hearted people here have won me over. I have truly fallen in love with the natural beauty and picturesque scenery that Wuxi has to offer.
As an international student, I have been fortunate to engage in various activities in Wuxi, including volunteering, with a strong desire to foster mutual understanding between China and the global community.

Participating in the "Understanding China, Sensing Wuxi" competition in 2024 was a memorable experience for me, even though I didn't clinch a victory. Additionally, a few friends and I participated in the 2025 Jiangsu Province Universities "Silk Road E-commerce" Innovation Challenge (International Students Short Video category), showcasing the beauty of Wuxi and featuring places like Meili Ancient Town, Huishan Ancient Town, and Taihu Lake.
Volunteering at the 2025 Junior and Cadet Fencing World Championships in Wuxi was another highlight. Besides enjoying the enchanting atmosphere, I deepened my understanding of fencing, forged new friendships, and felt immense pride when Egypt secured two gold medals in the competition.

Immersing myself in various cultural activities in Wuxi, such as dragon boat racing, tai chi, and tea ceremonies, has been enriching. While embracing traditional Chinese culture, I am committed to sharing it with the international community.
After visiting so many cities in China, I have found Wuxi to be the perfect sanctuary where I can unwind both physically and mentally without compromising on modernity. Here, I have formed lasting friendships and cherished unforgettable moments.
