Wuxi in Jiangsu province recently unveiled its three-year action plan for urban renewal (2025-27), targeting comprehensive improvements across 49 key areas.
The plan includes over 600 projects aimed at enhancing livability, culture, and economic vitality and covers seven major categories, such as renovating old residential areas, urban villages, old residential communities and public spaces. Projects like the Guibeicheng area, or the downtown area, and the area along the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal will be transformed into vibrant communities with unique cultural identities.
The plan also focuses on smart city development, utilizing artificial intelligence and digital technologies to create a more vibrant and sustainable urban environment.
