In preparation for the Jiangsu Football City League, known as Suchao, the Yixing Sports Center Stadium in Yixing, a county-level city in Wuxi, has been undergoing a comprehensive renovation and upgrade since June.
Upgrades are being made to the stadium's steel structure, sound system, lighting, and public restrooms.
To ensure top-notch sound quality, professional testing was conducted prior to the renovation. Now, 80 audio systems are strategically suspended around the stands. Inside the stadium, 256 new LED lights have been installed, and the four surrounding high mast lights have been fully upgraded to provide optimal illumination for spectators.
On the east and west sides of the field, 12 temporary stands have been erected, offering a total of 3,120 additional seats.
Alongside the physical upgrades, the stadium has been thoughtfully decorated to reflect Yixing's warmth and enthusiasm.
Entering through Gate 7, the words "Glory to Wuxi" stand out prominently, with a display board featuring an introduction to the Wuxi team. On the other side, the development history of Wuxi football is showcased. In the lobby, Yixing Library has set up a halftime reading station. Nearby, a display cabinet features cultural and creative products such as refrigerator magnets, football-themed purple clay teapots, purple clay cups, and bookmarks.
On the game day of Aug 16, Yixing will treat fans to complimentary water and tea, with beer sales points available on-site.
In the home team locker room, a table has been set up which includes Yixing specialties like scallion pancakes and dried tofu, along with beverages for the players. The visiting Xuzhou team will also find their locker room thoughtfully arranged to convey the warm hospitality of Yixing.
