Jiang Feng, acting mayor of Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province, met with Markus Heyn, a member of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH and chairman of the Mobility business sector, on Sept 17 to discuss further cooperation.
Heyn visited Wuxi to attend the 10th-anniversary celebration of Bosch Automotive Systems (Wuxi) Co and the opening of its second-phase new plant.
Jiang thanked Bosch Group for its sustained positive impact on Wuxi's growth. He noted that since Bosch Group's arrival in Wuxi, the company has steadily expanded its investment and operations, fostering a trustworthy partnership with the city.
He looks forward to Bosch Group completing the China headquarters project for its commercial vehicle business as soon as possible, while also focusing on areas like semiconductors, new energy vehicles, and batteries to develop broader and deeper cooperation with Wuxi.
Heyn thanked Wuxi for its support and assistance to Bosch Group's development. He mentioned that over the past 10 years since the establishment of Bosch Automotive Systems (Wuxi) Co, the company has experienced continuous growth in its workforce and a steadily expanding product range.
The company's successful development is closely linked to Wuxi's strong support, he noted. Going forward, Bosch Group will speed up the implementation of current cooperation projects while continuously exploring new areas of collaboration with Wuxi to contribute more significantly to the city's economic and social growth.
Since Bosch Group started its partnership with Wuxi in 2004, the city has grown into Bosch's Chinese headquarters for powertrain operations and a key base for mobility solutions. The new plant in Wuxi will manufacture electric drives and connectors for commercial vehicles, giving a fresh boost to the high-quality growth of Wuxi's automotive and auto parts sectors.
