The Jiangyin Campus of Nanjing University of Science & Technology was developed to meet regional economic demands and capitalize on local industrial strengths. It hosts various teaching and research facilities, including the Basic Teaching and Experiment Center, the Sino-French Engineer School, and schools dedicated to Cyberspace Security, Intelligent Manufacturing, and New Energy. The campus emphasizes fields like modern equipment manufacturing, new materials, new energy, microelectronics, and cybersecurity. It offers specialized majors such as Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, and Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering.

The campus has signed collaborative agreements with eight enterprises, including Envision Group and Jiangsu Fasten Group, and has created the Industry-Education Integration Alliance.
