Wuxi University is a full-time public undergraduate institution approved by the Ministry of Education, overseen by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, operated by the Wuxi municipal government, and supported by Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. It has established a "three-in-one" educational framework combining a university, a joint graduate training base, and a national science park.
The university addresses local economic and social development needs through 17 teaching units, such as the School of Internet of Things Engineering, the School of Cyberspace Security, and the School of Electronic Information Engineering. It offers six master's programs in collaboration with NUIST and provides 47 undergraduate majors across seven disciplines: Science, Engineering, Literature, Management, Economics, Law, and Arts.
It currently has over 13,000 undergraduates, more than 100 international students, and over 400 graduate students developed in collaboration with NUIST.
The university actively participates in international collaboration and exchange. It has been authorized to set up a Sino-foreign cooperative institution, joint programs, and three foreign expert studios. It also maintains partnerships with over 30 overseas universities, such as George Mason University (the United States), Novosibirsk State Technical University (Russia), and Zeppelin University (Germany).
