In the field of hydrogen and energy storage, Wuxi will establish platforms such as the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Vehicle Industry Innovation Collaboration Platform and the Tonghui Lab.
It will strengthen R&D in advanced hydrogen energy technologies, materials, and equipment, focusing on breakthroughs in key links of the industrial chain such as low-cost, high-efficiency green hydrogen production, hydrogen storage and transportation equipment, high-power long-life hydrogen fuel cells and their core materials.
It will promote applications of hydrogen energy in transportation, energy, and emerging fields. It will advance the construction of a full industrial chain encompassing advanced energy storage technologies, key materials, core equipment, energy storage systems and integration, and demonstration applications. It aims to break through a number of prospective technologies such as superconducting energy storage, liquid metal energy storage, solid-state battery energy storage, and hydrogen storage, promote the integrated upgrade of the energy electronics industry, and achieve the full-scenario application of new energy storage on the generation side, grid side, and demand side.
