In the field of quantum technology, Wuxi will target areas such as quantum communication, quantum computing, and quantum measurement. To this end, it will construct high-level industrial innovation platforms like the Wuxi Institute of Quantum Studies.

It will undertake core technology research on quantum material processes, core devices and measurement and control systems, quantum cryptography, quantum algorithms, quantum computers and operating systems, and achieve breakthroughs in the R&D and application of devices like silicon photonics, optical communication devices, and photonic chips. It will promote the application of quantum technology in fields such as finance, big data computing, healthcare, and resources and environment.
