China's Jiangsu province is now on Facebook and Twitter. Follow its official pages to keep up to date with latest news and events in one of China's most developed provinces.

Located in the downstream area of the Yangtze River around China's eastern coastline, Jiangsu province is known as the "land of fish and rice".

It is wowen by typical Jiangnan (south of the Yangtze River) landscapes, represented by classical gardens and water townships. The skillfully-built elegant classical gardens in Suzhou such as Humble Administrator's Garden, Canglang Pavilion and Lion Grove Garden, show how natural scenery and man-made architecture co-exist harmoniously.

Nanjing, capital of the Jiangsu province, is one of the four ancient capitals in China. The rich history rewards the city with plenty of cultural and historic sites such as the Confucius Temple, the Qinhuai River, Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum and the Jiming Temple.

Beautiful stone bridges over murmuring brooks, rustic cottages along stone-paved streets and tranquil atmosphere in ancient water townships like Zhouzhuang, and Tongli are typical, yet extraordinary examples of its gorgeous landscapes.

Apart from attractive Jiangnan landscapes, the province also boasts amazing folk arts and exquisite delicate handicrafts. In Jiangsu province, you can enjoy China's oldest opera - Kun Opera, and appreciate colorful brocade- Yun (or Nanjing) Brocade, vivid Suzhou embroidery, small but lovely Huishan clay dolls,  beautiful Yixing teapots and colorful Nantong kites.

Follow the official pages of Jiangsu on Facebook and Twitter, keep up to date with the latest social, economic, cultural and tourism news and events from east China's most developed and beautiful province.
