Yixing, a county-level city in Wuxi, signed cooperation agreements with 10 overseas organizations recently to attract professionals, according to the local association for science and technology.
It was recorded that Yixing started the HOME Program – Help Our Motherland through Elite Intellectual Resources from Overseas, which was initiated by China Association for Science and Technology in 2004. The program has become an important way to recruit overseas scientists.
Yixing has talked with more than ten related overseas groups from Europe, which have introduced two professionals and three projects to the city.
The cooperation with ten organizations, including Federation of Chinese professional Associations in Europe, China-Britain Technology Trade Association, and Chinese Academy of Science and Engineering in Japan, will push evolution in new energy, new materials, biomedicine and environment protection in Yixing.
